Remove your makeup every day

Make sure to always remove your makeup before going to bed, or heading to the gym for your exercise session – those are the times when your skin needs to breathe. Going to bed or the gym with makeup on clogs your pores and prevents your skin from breathing, which causes irritation and breakouts. You may have seen some girls going to the gym with full makeup on, but that is not at all safe or recommended if you want to have beautiful skin. If you are an athlete or a runner, having soft skin may be really hard, but with these top skincare tips for runners, you will be able to have the skin of your dreams.  If you do not have a makeup remover, you can use olive oil instead. Put some oil on the cotton pad and gently press it to your face. Olive oil works just like makeup remover, and it removes both makeup and dirt from your face and pores.

Wear the sunscreen, even on cloudy days

Sun can damage your skin if you are not careful enough to protect it. The overexposure to UV rays is actually the primary reason why your skin ages. Make sure that your sunscreen is SPF is at least 15, and that blocks both UVA and UVB rays. Some foundations also have sunscreen in it, but always check if its SPF is 15. If it’s lower than that, you should buy the sunscreen separately.  Another thing to look for is the label that reads ‘noncomedogenic‘ or ‘nonacnegenic.’ This means that the sunscreen does not block your pores. Do not skip the sunscreen even if it’s cloudy outside; Although it is not visible, the sun is always shining. When the sun’s rays hit reflective surfaces, like snow or water, they can be really damaging to your skin.  This is one of the main points of Skincare 101: Dos and Don’t s for Better Skin

Adjust your diet and hydration

Make sure that what you eat is healthy and fresh. For glowing skin, you are going to have to avoid junk food. Include a lot of leafy greens, vitamin c, and healthy fats. Consider completely cutting out any processed sugar.  Another thing that is really important for your skin care is hydration. Make sure to always drink plenty of water (at least eight glasses), because dehydration is the most common cause of unhealthy looking skin.  Try adding some flavor to your water, like lemon, orange, grapefruit, cucumber, etc. Apart from enhancing the taste, you will be adding some necessary vitamins that keep your skin healthy. Do not forget to try rose water, too. It helps to reduce puffiness in the morning, but if you sprinkle it during the day, it can help your skin to maintain healthy pH balance and hydration levels.

Relaxation and sleep for healthy skin

Did you know that stress can cause acne? The amount of sleep you get each night can also affect the elasticity of your skin. Meditation and rest are mandatory if you want to have perfect skin. Getting 8 hours of sleep every day is just the start, but do not forget to wash and moisturize your skin before hitting the bed. But avoid washing your face with hot water, because it can dry your skin. Use warm water instead.  Follow these Skincare 101: Dos and Don’t s for Better Skin and you will be amazed at the results.
