5 Remedies For Reducing Forehead Frown Lines

  1. Coconut Oil

Massage a small amount of coconut oil on your forehead before bed each night. The oil moisturizes the skin and contains useful antioxidants known for their ability to eliminate free radicals. These free radicals gather together in the skin and can lead to frown lines. With regular use of coconut oil, over time your forehead lines will appear less intense.

  1. Lemon


Lemon (or other citrus fruits like orange) is a great tonic for forehead frown lines. Simply mix one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice with one teaspoon of water (to dilute the acidity). Use a cotton ball to apply the mix evenly to your forehead area. Let the juice dry, then rinse off with warm water (avoid doing this more than once per day). Citrus juices contain high levels of vitamins C and E, both essential for skin health, and the flavonoids found in citrus fruits also help to maintain the collagen and elastin in the skin.

  1. Aloe Vera & egg white


For this remedy you will need 2 tablespoons of fresh aloe vera gel and 1 egg white. While this option takes a bit more prep time, it’s often one of the most popular home frown line solutions. Once obtained, mix the egg white and aloe vera gel and apply evenly to your forehead. Let the mixture dry for 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water. This routine should only be performed two to three times per week.

  1. Petroleum Jelly


Before using petroleum jelly on your forehead you will want to add a small amount of water to the area. Once damp, apply a small amount of petroleum jelly and massage gently into your skin. This remedy should be completed at night, right before you go to bed, but keep in mind that it is not a great solution for acne prone skin. The petroleum-based jelly keeps skin super-hydrated and prevents the appearance of more frown lines.

  1. Honey


You will need a washcloth for this one, but it’s one of the best home facial tonics (for the entire face). Begin by soaking a washcloth in hot water. Wring out the excess and place the warm, damp washcloth on your forehead. Leave the cloth on for a few minutes to open your pores, then remove and apply a thin layer of honey (with a brush). Let the honey sit for 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Rinse a final time with cold water (to close the pores) and voila! This routine is an excellent daily solution, as the honey’s natural antioxidants make it beneficial for reducing the appearance of frown lines.
